Add Your Review! Mitsubishi Mirage
| | Model | Mitsubishi Mirage | | | What things have gone wrong with the car? | Where do I begin??? I firmly believe that this car was designed to break. Besides the 4 factory defects I've found, (I'll explain later) I can truly say that the car is grossly under powered when accelerating and gives the driver absolutely no "feel" for what's going on with the engine. It handles poorly in all types of weather, even with new General tires. There is no "road feel" with this car. The tires simply break loose in wet weather. The 4 major factory defects are; 1; The hose which allows excess vapor from the valve cover to go to the air cleaner was never drilled out, thus, causing pressure build up to blow the rear main seal ($600.00 to fix). 2; The cheaply spot-welded nuts that attach the rear doors to the pillars all broke by themselves, thus allowing the door to FALL off!, 3; Mitsubishi used inferior valve seals (instead of Viton), thus causing pre-mature failure which caused excessive oil burning ($300.00 to fix), 4; The rear seat belts do not function. Youch!!! How hard is it to make them right? | | | | |
